Jihoceska Univerzita V Ceskych Budejovicich (USB) / Czechia has been the centre of education, research, and science in the southern part of the Czech Republic for more than twenty-five years. It offers various study fields, including the natural sciences, economics, health and social work, education, and the humanities. With more than 2,000 students, the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (FHSS USB) is the second largest faculty at USB. Study applicants are offered eleven bachelor and three subsequent master study disciplines. Graduates of the subsequent master studies can continue studying in two doctoral programmes: nursing and rehabilitation. The faculty also has the right to habilitate and professorial proceedings in nursing.
